| Description: | IU Medical Group - PC is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner with at least 6 months experience as an FNP.
Under the supervision of an attending physician of IU Medical Group, plans, directs, and evaluates patient's health care in an extended hours urgent care clinic. Examines and treats chronic and acute episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries/illnesses. Performs or orders selected laboratory testing, referrals to physicians as needed, writes prescriptions when having appropriate approved prescriptive authority, and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise protocols and available equipment. Works with primary care physicians in the care and treatment of patients.
This position is for twelve hour shifts which includes evenings and rotating weekend coverage. |
| Qualifications: | Candidates must possess certification as a family nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority; at least 6 months experience as nurse practitioner is preferred. |
