| Description: | The Programmer Analyst is an expert on the content and structure of the data warehouse and the software used to access it; helps to evaluate data quality; and works independently or with internal and external customers to produce meaningful reports.
This position is located at our administrative offices at One College Park near 86th and Michigan Rd. |
| Duties: | • Interacts with all internal and external customers in a caring and respectful manner in accordance with our Core Values philosophy
• Assisting various departments and external customers with extracting data and creating reports from the Data Warehouse and other data sources
• Performs in-depth systems analysis and development of technical or sensitive projects
• Analyzes an assigned task to include some or all of the following steps: analysis of goals, problem complexity and feasibility study, logic design and systems flowchart, analysis of input-output flow, hardware study, forms layout, resource evaluation, cost and time analysis, and detailed flowcharting
• Writes, debugs, diagrams, creates flowcharts, codes, and documents programs and processes
• Evaluating the quality of all data in the Data Warehouse
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of work, especially with regard to information specific to individuals
• Performs other duties and completes special projects as assigned.

| Qualifications: | KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Strong working knowledge of SQL
• Effective communication and networking skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to create, modify and maintain computer programs.
• Project management
• Understanding or working knowledge of the health care system
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, statistics, or related area with research/data analysis
• Proficiency in database, spreadsheet and reporting software
• Experience within managed health care or health care exposure.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Normal office environment with flexible hours

• Some in-state, primarily in city travel
