| Description: | JOB SUMMARY/DESCRIPTION:
The RN and LPN provides nursing care in the clinical practice setting in collaboration with providers in accordance with established policies and procedures. Participates in the implementation of the patients overall plan for care. Also coordinates services to meet patient’s needs. Alters activities/behaviors to reflect and ensure adequate care appropriate to the age of patients served (i.e. pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric.) This position requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a RN and LPN.
This positions' primary responsiblity will be that of a nurse, but will have additional duties as the Practice Support Services Team Leader.
•Position Reports to: Practice Operations
•The Practice Support Services Team Leader schedules the Practice Support Services staff and coordinates their schedules to meet the needs of the organization. The Team Leader processes payroll, PTO and FMLA requests and monitors absences. This position works closely with the site managers and Practice Operations.

| Duties: | • Monitors and evaluates Practice Support services provided to sites.
• Monitors and evaluates staff performance on an on-going basis in conjunction with the appropriate site managers and Practice Operations.
• Assures the implementation of policies and procedures.
• Assigns Practice Support Services staff to sites in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Actively recruits for staff via job fairs, career fairs, trade or nursing schools, etc.
• In conjunction with Practice Operations assists in performing evaluations, training/orienting, and implementing disciplinary action.
• Provides thorough orientation for all Practice Support Services staff.
• Ensures staff compliance with OSHA and CLIA standards as applicable.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to provide continuous evaluation and improvement of services.

| Qualifications: | • Excellent leadership, management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent one-on-one and group communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards (OSHA, CLIA.)
• General knowledge and understanding of the operation of a medical office (front and back office functions).
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, subordinate staff.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision, work cooperatively as a team leader, manages multiple competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
• RN or LPN with current State licensure.
• One to two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
• Current CPR certification and TB certification (may be obtained upon hire.)
• Must successfully complete the IUMG- PC basic drug calculation examination
• Must type 30 AWPM
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the operation of an outpatient setting; medical office experience preferred.
