| Description: | The Provider Relations Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate provider information within the claims processing system for all lines of business. This position is located at our administrative office on the northwest side of Indianapolis off 86th and Michigan Rd. |
| Duties: | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Interacts with all internal and external customers in a caring and respectful manner in accordance with our Core Values philosophy.
- Respond to routine inquiries, from both internal and external customers, relating to physicians, contracts and provider set up.
- Assist with researching new providers identified by claims or utilization management for inclusion in the claims system
- Assist with verifying information of existing providers and making necessary changes within the claims processing system.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Performs other duties and completes special projects as assigned.
- Provides front desk coverage as needed.

- General knowledge of the Indiana Medicaid provider set up logic.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: - Graduation from High School or equivalent required. Associate's Degree a plus.
- One year working experience using Excel and web based applications.
- One year experience working with provider relations, physicians, insurance, social programs or Managed Care Organization is desirable.
- Must be able to type 30 AWPM
